The first two Nocturnes are based on rather simple pieces I wrote on the guitar in the mid '90s. I forgot about them for a long time, until one day I stumbled upon my old notes and tried to rearrange them for the piano.  
The
third Nocturne was written in 2008. It is
perhaps a little more sophisticated, but conveys the same gentle sadness
as the other two.
